April Speaker Series - Ted Talks Part 2

Wednesday, April 28, 2021 (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

The Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) is an organization devoted to the professional and personal development of women leaders in Central Texas. For more than 20 years, YWA has been a staple in the Austin community, driven by our four pillars: lead, educate, network, and serve. YWA hosts a Monthly Speaker Series that is free for members and welcomes community leaders with inspirational stories and accomplishments. Join us for the April Speaker Series featuring our very own members presenting in a Ted Talks format.

The event will start at 6:30 PM on the online venue Airmeet, which gives participants the opportunity to network in one of two ways: by selecting the "speed networking" option and being randomly paired with another attendee for a 5 minute video chat, or by choosing a virtual table and joining that table's video chat. Similar to an in person event, you'll be able to see what YWA members and guests are sitting at each table, and you can choose to join one where friends are, or choose a random table to meet new friends. At 7:00 PM, we will make a few YWA announcements and will introduce our April speakers. Our speakers for Ted Talks Part 2 are:

  • Liz Gracia: Service in Hospitality
  • Zakira Duff: Mental Health and Boundary Setting
  • Najah Clay: Why Being Girly is Badass
  • Rebecca Bennett: How to Read More Books
