July In Person Speaker Series

The Young Women’s Alliance (YWA) is an organization devoted to the professional and personal development of women leaders in Central Texas. For more than 20 years, YWA has been a staple in the Austin community, driven by our four pillars: lead, educate, network, and serve. YWA hosts a Monthly Speaker Series that is free for members and welcomes community leaders with inspirational stories and accomplishments. 

Space is limited so please unregister if you are unable to make it. Please note this event will be hosted at the Impact Hub location in North Austin. We will be serving wine and light appetizers. 

Maria Brown-Spence, Founder & CEO of Hearts2Heal, allowed her lived experiences with grief & loss, to guide her to her purpose. In 2012, Maria lost her Granny, Anna Marie Brown to cancer and her world was turned upside down. In 2018, she lost her significant other to cancer and again, her world was turned upside down.
But, this time she knew that the journey she was on, was her’s to be shared. If her heart was broken, there were others, experiencing the same. Navigating the mental health field, was work within itself and she truly understood that access, was indeed, not for her.

In 2019, Maria knew it was time to step up and find, Hearts2Heal, along the way.

This month's speaker series will focus on mental health and how we can overcome challenges.
