March Speaker Series: Path to a Philanthropic Life & Beyond

Wednesday, March 29, 2023 (6:30 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Join us for our quarterly speaker series. An event that invites community leaders to share inspiration and accomplishments. The theme for March is Path to a Philanthropic Life & Beyond with speaker Sheena Wilde, Vice President of Philanthropy & Belonging at Kendra Scott.

As Vice President of Philanthropy & Belonging at Kendra Scott, Sheena Wilde believes that giving back is the ultimate form of success. Founded on the pillars of family, fashion, and philanthropy, Kendra Scott’s mission to create good in the world has been realized through Sheena’s dedication and effort since 2015. A “do good” architect, Sheena oversees all philanthropic strategy, growth, and implementation for the organization’s local and national programs and partnerships, as well as ensuring Kendra Scott is an inclusive, accepting, and loving place to work and shop. She leads her team in supporting hundreds of initiatives annually that help enable women and youth to live their healthiest, brightest, and most empowered lives. Key partnerships under Sheena’s leadership include the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (KS WELI) at the University of Texas at Austin, mental health organizations like the JED Foundation and Active Minds, ongoing Breast Cancer research efforts through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, & support for terminally ill families through Inheritance of Hope, and many more. Sheena was also a recent winner of Austin Business Journal's 2022 Women in Business Awards.

Additionally, Sheena is actively engaged within her local community, serving as an advisory board member for Derrick Johnson's Defend the Dream Foundation, board member for Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas, the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute, and sitting on the steering committee for Ronald McDonald House of Central Texas and the Seton Fund's Women Tower & Services Task Force.
